Default How does the WPA key Stored?

Hi, I am new to here. and i have some question, although it may asked before.

From my understanding, Whisher work like this:
When i register my AP in share mode > my AP's key would autometicly upload to Whisher server > Whisher clients software would download all the key in the server to all whisher's computer and store locally.

Please let me know if i get it right or wrong.
And if i'm right, would the local database get very large and slow down when more and more user sharing their key?

thx

Hi,

You are correct - your key will be securely distributed to other Whisher users. If the database would get so large (we're talking millions of records, we have done tests and we'd need to grow a lot) we would implement geographic subdivisions, e.g. download only the continent / countries you're interested in. We had this in the very first Whisher release, so it's not an issue to implement.

I'd be great to get feedback from your usage experience.

Best regards,

Mike

First, Thank you for the super fast reply.

If implemented geographic subdivision, is that mean i will first need to choose which area i want to go? And where can i do it? from the clients software or the website?

thx again

Yes, you will have to decide on which areas you move, and choose to download local databases for them. This will be done on the My Account section on our website, as we have moved all the non-essential processes (even WiFi sharing!) to the web, so we are not planning on adding a client-side GUI to handle this. You will choose on the web, and your client will be notified and automatically updated.

Regards,

Mike
